In recent days, the new champion Naafiri has truly captured everyone’s attention, alongside the intense tournaments in the League of Legends (LoL) scene. The reason is quite simple: not only is she the latest Darkin champion after a long time, but Naafiri also possesses a very unusual appearance. Even the monstrous champions from the Void do not surprise players as much as Naafiri – the champion that resembles a hunting dog.

However, what’s noteworthy is that Naafiri’s skills were revealed shortly thereafter. This champion is assessed to fit the role of a Mid Lane Assassin with a skill set capable of dealing damage, mobility, and long-range effects. Some players draw parallels to the familiar skill sets of Vex and Talon when witnessing Naafiri executing her abilities.
According to Riot’s assessment, this is the easiest-to-play Assassin champion that they have ever created in League of Legends. Champion designer at Riot – Glenn Anderson shared: “Naafiri is incredibly friendly for new players. We want to create a feeling that players are controlling more than one creature, but also maintain the primary goal of being easy to play and straightforward.”

As a result, Naafiri was born with a skill set that can attack one or multiple targets simultaneously. Additionally, her dash and burst damage abilities will help new players achieve better effectiveness in the role of an Assassin. Furthermore, unlike some current Assassins in League of Legends (Pyke, Akali, LeBlanc…), Naafiri also does not seem to require too many advanced skills to execute a perfect combo.

Of course, these are just Riot’s own assessments – the people who created Naafiri. This champion has yet to officially appear in at least the upcoming patch. Perhaps, until Naafiri actually makes her debut in Summoner’s Rift, players will only be able to evaluate the true potential of this champion, especially for those new to League of Legends.
