As we know, not long ago, the media side of the Vietnamese League of Legends scene, specifically the commentators from the Vietnamese LCK channel, took actions deemed disrespectful towards the young player Peyz of the reigning champion Gen.G. In that instance, Commentator Hoàng Sama made disrespectful remarks with inappropriate language directed at Peyz. This incident was discovered by the fan community of Gen.G in Vietnam, leading to a wave of protests that forced the Vietnamese LCK page to issue an apology.

However, recently, the management team of the Vietnamese LCK page made a serious mistake. Specifically, on their page, the members of the management team used rather harsh language to comment on the slightly flawed play of player Doran. Even though the content of the statement was still positive, acknowledging that Doran made mistakes but still contributed to Gen.G, this did not satisfy the fans representing the LCK. In fact, international fans also noticed the issue.

On a fan’s Twitter page, they captured the controversial comment from the Vietnamese LCK page. Immediately, not only international Gen.G fans but also many voices in Vietnam expressed their outrage. Right below the Vietnamese LCK page’s initial comment, there were suggestions stating that the comment was inappropriate to describe a player, especially coming from an official page of the tournament in Vietnam.

After facing backlash from both international and Vietnamese Gen.G fans, the comment was deleted. The Vietnamese LCK page also issued an apology afterward, but it has yet to quell the anger of Gen.G fans. According to many opinions, this page needs to make another post in English, as the incident has also attracted the attention of international Gen.G fans.

At this time, the Vietnamese League of Legends scene has attracted considerable attention from international friends, both at the fan level and among the teams themselves. Therefore, inappropriate remarks can easily become a topic of discussion and significantly impact the international League of Legends community’s perception of Vietnam.
