Since gaining significant recognition on the international stage, teams from smaller regions and wildcard groups such as PCS, VCS, LJL… have received more attention from the global League of Legends (LoL) community. Especially, with their passionate gameplay and players who have worked hard to promote their regions to the world, teams like GAM Esports, DetonatioN FocusMe, and PSG Talon have garnered special interest.

Speaking of LJL, one cannot omit DFM. This is also the most accomplished and prominent team in the world of LoL from the land of the rising sun. Notably, former DFM star Evi is known as a passionate advocate for the development of LoL in Japan. The DFM team also frequently participates in tournaments like MSI or the World Championship.

However, a recent incident involving DFM has caught the attention of the international LoL community. Specifically, according to several posts on the personal Twitter account of player tol2 (Top Laner of DFM), he had to escape from the team’s gaming house. Not only that, tol2 accused two DFM coaches, Kazu and Ceros, of threatening and verbally abusing him. Notably, tol2 mentioned that he had been enduring these issues since Spring 2023, and after MSI 2023, things worsened. He even admitted that he felt his life was in danger.

Additionally, tol2 also reported to the management, but in response, he was even fined by DFM’s CEO, Mr. LGraN, along with a warning that he would be removed from the roster if this information was made public. The 2002-born player also mentioned that no teammates shared his story, and the only person he could talk to was the substitute AD carry, Milan.

According to the posted information, tol2’s last tweet was on July 6 (Vietnam time). Since then, he has not been active on Twitter. However, tol2’s revelations have spread widely. The LoL community in Japan as well as internationally is very concerned for this player and is awaiting news about tol2’s safety.
