After securing two consecutive victories, EDward Gaming (EDG) faced a “cold shower” when they were defeated by ThunderTalk Gaming (TT). In fact, this was a match where the team experienced a reverse defeat, winning the first game but losing the next two. This loss has put EDG in a tough spot in their efforts to improve their position on the leaderboard.

After the match ended, many fans called for EDG to change their playstyle as well as their roster. The player receiving the most mixed feedback was FoFo, who performed below expectations in the match against TT. Many fans even suggested that the team should invite Doinb to replace FoFo to address the issues in the Mid Lane.

Interestingly, Doinb also shared that Ale (Top Laner of EDG) had sent him an invitation to join the team. Specifically, Ale sent Doinb a picture of himself wearing the EDG uniform. However, the 2019 World Championship (Worlds) champion immediately declined this invitation.
“Do you know what? Ale sent me a picture of myself in the EDG uniform. He even said with Doinb, EDG would be champions. Sorry Ale, but I have to decline this invitation. Doing that might make FoFo misunderstand and lead to unpleasant situations. If I really joined EDG, I’d just be a servant running errands and cooking instant noodles for the players,” Doinb shared on stream.

Fairly speaking, Doinb has been away from competitive play for too long, so it’s understandable that he declined the invitation to play for EDG. Therefore, EDG fans can only place their trust in FoFo and hope that he will regain his top form. If he manages to do so, FoFo will help EDG compete for a spot in the upcoming Worlds 2023.
