Being a game that has been around for many years, coupled with Riot’s own admission that their employees overwrite code during updates or adjustments, it is no surprise that League of Legends (LoL) is a game full of bugs. In fact, this issue even extends to other game modes within Riot’s LoL client, such as ARAM or Teamfight Tactics (TFT). Notably, many bugs have appeared in TFT that directly affect player outcomes since each match in this mode only lasts about a minute.

Recently, some players discovered a strange occurrence in a match featuring Ryze 3-star from Bandle City. When this champion entered the battlefield and used his ability, three units on the opponent’s bench instantly “vanished,” including a 2-star Ahri. This left many players in shock, as this is something that has almost never occurred in TFT history. Only a few units can affect the bench, like Syndra from seasons 8 and 8.5. But that requires Syndra to be an ally of the units on the bench.

Many players who witnessed Ryze Bandle City 3 Star using his ability were left wondering whether this was a mechanic or a severe bug. After all, while it may not be difficult to upgrade cheaper champions, achieving 2-star status for champions costing 4 gold or more is no easy feat. 5-star champions are even harder to acquire, and if a single use of Ryze’s ability can ruin the efforts put into building a team, it will negatively impact the player experience.

Currently, Riot has not yet commented on this issue. Meanwhile, reaching a 3-star Ryze is not a common occurrence, so the TFT community has yet to report any similar cases.
