On the afternoon of August 7th, the VCS community was shaken when a former member of SBTC Esports, coach Ren, posted several messages. Notably, these messages revolved around negative issues related to some VCS teams. Specifically, just a few days ago, Coach Ren also shared similar messages. This time, the former coach of SE directly named the CERBERUS Esports team – a well-known name in the Vietnamese League of Legends scene.

On the same afternoon, CES responded by refuting all the information in Coach Ren’s post. Notably, many viewers believed that instead of posting unverified information that could affect the teams and individuals involved, he should report it to the VCS organizers and Riot. Some even suspected Coach Ren’s motives, suggesting that he himself could be affected if accused of slander.

Recently, a female streamer also joined in on the negative rumors surrounding the VCS. Specifically, this female streamer shared some chat logs documenting a transaction of up to 400 million VND along with information related to matches in the VCS. Accompanying the screenshots of the transaction and conversations were screenshots from the Team Flash – Saigon Buffalo and Team Secret – CERBERUS matches. Notably, TS and CES had been implicated in negative rumors, and based on the female streamer’s information, TF and SGB were also involved.

However, many VCS viewers believe that the female streamer’s actions are no different from Coach Ren’s. Accordingly, information that should have been sent to relevant authorities for verification is now being spread across social media. This clearly affects the reputation and credibility of the involved teams. Notably, this action has been encouraged by a section of the female streamer’s fans and VCS viewers, even though the information has not been verified or confirmed. Furthermore, if this information implicates the female streamer, she could also face legal trouble.

The current situation of VCS is causing fans to have many conflicting thoughts and opinions. Nevertheless, all parties need to monitor and select verified information from authorized agencies to avoid affecting unrelated players or teams.
