Just a few days ago, further information about the champion Briar from League of Legends (LoL) was revealed. Essentially, this will be a new Jungle champion capable of initiating fights and ambushing the enemy’s backline. Briar will take on the appearance of a vampire girl and possess powers related to the states of “full” or “hungry.”

Although this information seems quite interesting, fans are concerned that Briar could become an “overly unbalanced” character. This concern arises from the development journey of this character resembling that of Zeri. In fact, even the creator of Briar has shown signs of struggle in fixing bugs, which reminds players of the case with Ekko from Zaun.

Specifically, the head of champion design for LoL, who created both Zeri and Briar – Riot August – recently revealed that this new champion has encountered numerous bugs. There have been times when Riot August spent the entire day fixing 10 bugs for Briar, only to wake up the next morning to find 20 new issues had emerged. This has happened with Zeri in the past.

Not stopping there, it has also been revealed that Briar will possess numerous effects in her skill set. This character will have the ability to frighten opponents, drain health, dash continuously, and break shields. With such a multitude of strong effects in her skill set, the LoL community has even more reason to worry about Briar’s potential “unbalance.”
Furthermore, recent new characters from Riot Games have all appeared to be overly strong at launch. Therefore, it’s understandable that the community predicts Briar will also become “unbalanced.” Hopefully, Riot will learn from past characters and adjust Briar’s power appropriately for her official release.
