Recently, Riot released the splash art images of Briar along with some information about this new champion. Accordingly, Briar is from Noxus and seems to be designed in the trend of a vampire. Therefore, although Briar’s skill set has not been 100% confirmed, many players can predict that Briar will be built as a champion with very strong life-steal (or healing) abilities and quite mobile skills.

However, the concerning issue is that after the splash art of Briar was announced, a lot of sensual, 18+ fanart surrounding this champion has been widely circulated. On major platforms like Pixiv and Artstation, the 18+ images of Briar are very bold, making even gamers blush. Notably, as confirmed by Riot before, Briar will be similar to Annie, both being teen-age champions in the League of Legends universe.

This has made many players quite upset, especially with some artists exploiting the sensitive aspects of a champion designed as a teen to attract attention. The initial images of Briar focused only on her feet. But then they became increasingly “bold” and even included images depicting Briar “fully embracing nature” with many lewd expressions and poses. As one streamer candidly remarked: “Everything about her is great, but the pictures and comments about her are why I don’t want any teen champions.”

Currently, the sensitive fanart images of Briar are still being widely circulated on social media platforms. This was something that could have been predicted when this champion first revealed her initial images. Of course, even though she is just a game character, the somewhat excessive design by some artists is truly leaving a lot of controversy within the global League of Legends community.
