Keria Points Out the Cause of BLG’s Swift Defeat Against T1
For those who have followed previous encounters between T1 and BLG, it was astonishing to witness the scoreline in the match between these two teams in Round 2 of MSI 2025 on the morning of July 6 (Vietnam time). Gone were the thrilling battles as BLG was completely annihilated in all 3 games. Notably, just before the match, many viewers still believed that BLG could even defeat T1, as MSI is considered a “safe haven” for LPL teams and T1 had yet to win against BLG in this arena.

Perhaps even the T1 players did not expect the match to be easier than their game against CFO. However, in the post-match interview, Keria stated that the main reason for BLG’s defeat was their “self-destruction” in terms of personnel. Specifically, the T1 Support remarked: “The biggest difference is that they did not have Xun. He had a very strong connection with ON. But this year, I feel they are not as strong anymore. They are focusing on their laning phase to snowball.”

In fact, Beichuan was unable to defeat Oner in the laning phase across all 3 games. During team fights, he always felt weaker and less secure compared to Oner in controlling buffs. In the current meta, a team’s ability to execute their strategy largely depends on the Jungler.
But T1’s Upcoming Challenges Will Be Very Different
After BLG, another massive challenge awaits T1, which is Gen.G – the only team currently undefeated at MSI 2025. Unlike BLG, the Gen.G roster shows a more comprehensive strength. However, there is a glimmer of hope for T1, as Gen.G also faced difficulties in their recent match against Anyone’s Legends a few days ago.

Facing Gen.G has never been an easy task. But with T1 in good spirits, if they can replicate the results from their most recent encounter, it could be said that T1 is very close to the championship in Vancouver this year.
