Faker sets a “stunning” statistic at the 2025 Worlds
At the beginning of the 2025 season, when Riot officially applied Fearless Draft to all major and minor professional League of Legends tournaments around the world, concerns arose for Faker. The reason stemmed from the fact that throughout 2023 and 2024, he only used a limited number of champions. In fact, the 2023 season marked the first time Faker claimed the throne while primarily using around 3 champions (Orianna, Azir, and Sylas). But as of now, Faker has shattered all doubts.

Accordingly, Faker has become the player who used the most different champions at the 2025 Worlds, with a total of 14 champions appearing in his hands since the match against IG until after the semifinal against TES. Among these, most have appeared 5 times or more in domestic leagues. However, Mel is the new champion that Faker used for the first time at the Worlds, delivering perfect “outplays” against opponents.
This number of champions used by Faker officially surpasses BeryL, who also used 13 different champions throughout the 2022 Worlds. This is a resounding response to the concerns that Faker would struggle at the 2025 Worlds due to Fearless Draft. Meanwhile, T1’s opponents also don’t know how to “read” the Mid Lane of this team since only Anivia, Cassiopeia, Sylas, and Aurora have witnessed Faker’s defeats. But if they let any of these champions slip through, no one knows what T1 could do with them.

Faker’s statistics will worry KT
Bdd from KT is also known for his wide champion pool, but his playstyle usually revolves around high-damage champions combined with the ability to create wombo combos, such as Yone, Taliyah, or Azir. However, excluding Yone, the other two champions are also Faker’s specialties, and both teams will certainly not leave these champions open during the draft.

The question is, what will KT do to limit Faker’s champion pool, when they also have to dedicate ban picks for Doran, Oner, and the Gu – Ke duo? And T1 has proven that if they play at their peak, even during a champion test, they can make their opponents regret it.
