Faker Puts His Trust in a Teammate
With impressive performances and peak form in recent matches, T1 has started to regain the confidence of fans and the League of Legends community in general after facing skepticism throughout the beginning of the season. Notably, the two names that have been embroiled in the most controversies since the start of the 2025 season – Gumayusi and Doran – have both performed exceptionally well up to now. Even Faker had to admit: “Gumayusi is a reliable player at T1, in my opinion.”

Specifically, Faker stated: “Gumayusi is a player with a very professional mindset. In my view, he is a reliable teammate at T1. He always trains very hard.” Notably, whenever these adjectives are mentioned, Faker always specifically names Gumayusi, and this isn’t the first time Faker has praised his younger teammate.
Right from the beginning of the 2025 season, Gumayusi encountered many troubles, primarily caused by internal issues within T1. However, with his professional demeanor, he remained focused on climbing ranks, maintaining form, and striving to overcome difficulties. This is a rare spirit but not surprising for Gumayusi – who has experienced many ups and downs with T1.

Faker’s Trust in Gumayusi is Justified
At the current stage of MSI 2025, it can be said that Gumayusi is one of the most dangerous ADCs in the tournament. After the victory over BLG, he has risen to become the ADC with the most kills in the tournament’s history with 312 kills, leaving opponents counting the score. This number surpasses Elk, who previously held the record with 307 kills. Elk was also Gumayusi’s opponent in the recent T1 – BLG match.

With the excellent form of the bot lane duo, especially as the gameplay has shifted to focus more on the bottom lane, there will be even more opportunities for Gumayusi to shine. In this context, T1 has every reason to be confident in every tournament they participate in, as they possess perhaps the strongest bot lane in the professional League of Legends scene right now.
