Thus, immediately after returning from two pre-season friendly matches at the ASIAD Hangzhou with a perfect score, the Korean LoL team has also prepared to head to Hangzhou, China. With this participation, the Korean LoL team aims for the highest goal of the gold medal. At the same time, a victory and a gold medal will be a sweet revenge for the Korean LoL team after losing to the host team from China in the 2018 finals.

The players themselves have also shown strong determination, and the lineup representing the Korean LoL team is considered perfect in every position. Notably, in the previous two friendly matches, the duo who just returned from the LPL, Kanavi and Ruler, showcased their top performance. These two names are seen as crucial to bring victory for the Korean LoL team. Furthermore, Ruler and Kanavi have a deep understanding of their Chinese opponents after spending a long time competing in the LPL.

Recently, Coach kkOma revealed information about the harsh training schedule for the Korean LoL players. Specifically, the former coach of T1 stated: “The players start training from 11 AM and the session only ends at 3 AM the next day. We close at 3 AM to prevent outsiders from entering the training room. All players are determined and passionate. I admit this somewhat ‘grueling’ training has been ongoing since the training camp began, but none of the players find it difficult.”

In addition, Coach kkOma also detailed the schedule. The players train individually and scientifically from 11 AM to 1 PM. From 1 PM to 4 PM, they train in groups, followed by individual training until 7 PM. After meal time, they continue group training until 11 PM. Thus, according to Coach kkOma, the training session officially ends at 11 PM. However, the players voluntarily “try hard” until 3 AM.

Although there is still time for rest, many viewers are concerned about the health of the players, especially Faker. Everyone knows that Faker has just recovered from an injury not long ago. Such strict training could very likely lead to a recurrence of Faker’s injury.

However, it is clear that the players themselves are extremely determined to win the gold medal at the upcoming ASIAD. It’s not just about national glory or personal benefit, but it also signifies the first gold medal for the first time esports has officially become a competitive discipline in a prestigious event like the Asian Games.
