In T1’s convincing 3-0 victory over LNG Esports (LNG) recently, jungler Oner was seen as the player who surprised the audience the most. The reason is that Oner made bold and effective movements when invading LNG’s jungle. This playstyle is very different from the safe, predictable Oner who was considered a weakness for T1.

Even Faker admitted that T1 faced difficulties in some games during the Swiss stage when he and Oner did not communicate well. However, the mid-jungle duo of T1 managed to resolve this issue and helped Oner achieve a “miraculous” improvement in the recent quarter-finals. This has made T1 a much more formidable team.
“At this moment, when Faker and I need to communicate, we say it immediately. It seems that there is no longer any distance between us and we can talk comfortably. We frequently practice 1v1 with each other, discussing strategies during breaks. This has helped me improve a lot” – Oner shared with the media.

If you closely follow the match between T1 and LNG, you can see the contrasting images of the mid-jungle duos from both sides. With LNG, Scout and Tarzan had several misplays due to poor interaction with each other. Meanwhile, Faker and Oner showcased exceptional coordination during fights or when picking off opponents. As a result, T1 convincingly defeated LNG as the gap between the mid-jungle duos was too large.

Oner’s “miraculous” improvement has even generated great hope among fans. This player was once considered a weakness for T1 but delivered an outstanding performance in the recent match. Meanwhile, the other positions in T1 are also showing high form, making this team appear to be a very comprehensive unit with impressive strength.

In the upcoming semifinals, T1 will face the strong mid-jungle duo of JD Gaming (JDG), Knight – Kanavi. This promises to be a tough challenge for Faker and Oner in the next match. If they can overcome this formidable opponent, T1 can truly think about the championship title at Worlds 2023.
