As previously reported, a few days ago, Riot revealed the first information about Season 10 of Teamfight Tactics. Accordingly, the new season will feature champions still based on the current champion set of LoL without any additional changes. However, there will be many new skin lines introduced, such as the K/DA skin line or the latest HEARTSTEEL group. Notably, after several consecutive seasons stuck at 1 gold, 2 gold… and a maximum of 4 gold, Jhin has now become a 5 gold champion.
For those who regularly play TFT, it is well understood that Riot can build 1 gold, 2 gold… champions stronger than normal for their cost, but 5 gold champions are definitely of high quality. Even in the early seasons, 5 gold champions were always highly contested among players. It can be said that owning a 5 gold champion and upgrading them to a high level can be considered a winning foundation.
Jhin 5 gold is no exception, and according to players who have experienced the PBE version, Jhin 5 gold of Season 10 will be the first time in TFT history that a unit can be upgraded to 4 stars. Furthermore, when Jhin’s skill is activated, nearly the entire battlefield will be covered by Jhin’s shadows. These shadows will deal damage similar to his Curtain Call and shoot at all targets until the opponent is completely eliminated or has received 4 hits. With such a “surround” mechanic, opponents will have almost no chance to dodge.
However, what is currently being shown is still only in the PBE, which is the test server. It remains unclear, given the demonstrated power, whether a 4 star Jhin will actually appear when the official version is released. However, reaching 4 stars is definitely not easy, and therefore, Riot could very well consider this mechanic. After all, Jhin is a 5 gold champion and will certainly be heavily contested once his power has been revealed, making it even harder to reach 4 stars.
