Alongside the intense and exciting matches of Worlds 2023, for some regions like VCS, LEC … and even teams from LPL – LCK that have exited the tournament, the 2023 season is essentially over. Currently, many teams and players are likely focused on the end-of-year transfer market, as players’ contracts expire and decisions about their futures are being prepared for the new season. Of course, for League of Legends fans in Vietnam, VCS is receiving the most attention.

Specifically in the VCS region, after nearly a year officially taken over by Riot, many new developments have occurred. During the Worlds 2023, two VCS teams performed at a level ranging from acceptable to good. Of course, for ambitious teams, this is still not truly the best achievement. Recently, GAM Esports – the reigning VCS champion, made its first moves in the transfer market that caught fans’ attention.

As previously known, Coach Khôi “Rei” Trần and Coach HanKay have officially left GAM. However, recently, the players from this team have also been confirmed to part ways. Accordingly, Playcool and Zin along with Slayder are the three names leaving the yellow-black team. The departure of Zin and Playcool is not surprising, as these two players have not often seen game time with GAM. Zin officially lost his position after Palette joined, despite previously showing great promise in the Support role.

However, the departure of Slayder has come as a surprise. While Slayder did not perform at his peak in Worlds 2023, he showed real effort. Moreover, in the current VCS, the options available to replace the 2000-born ADC are not plentiful. Additionally, with Slayder’s departure, GAM is proving to be a real “ADC factory” as in just two years, at least three ADCs have had to leave, including Sty1e, Divkid, and Slayder. VCS fans are collectively wondering: Who will replace Slayder at GAM in the new season?

These moves suggest that an exciting transfer period awaits VCS fans. In which, GAM is predicted to potentially bring in a new “big name” to fill the position left by Slayder. And it is very likely that more names will be announced regarding their futures in the upcoming days.
