As we know, currently, all players are in a resting phase after the conclusion of the 2023 season, while also determining their future in the new season. Especially, those whose contracts have expired may have to be busier. They need to negotiate with their old teams or find a new home to start preparing for 2024. For players in the LPL, they have to hustle even more as the regional audience is very dissatisfied with the three LPL representatives in the Semifinals of the Worlds 2023, while the championship went to T1.

One of the most criticized players among the four LPL representatives at Worlds 2023 is Scout. In the match against T1, Scout played at a level that can only be described as very poor compared to his senior and former teammate Faker. In fact, he and Tarzan faced quite a few overly enthusiastic fans demanding their departure from the team, as well as receiving countless mockeries, even though LNG was only the third seed from the region and T1 had proven their strength by obliterating all four LPL representatives at this year’s Worlds.

Perhaps because of this, Scout has not rushed to participate in the transfer market despite his contract expiring, choosing instead to take time to rest. Even more surprisingly, Scout chose Vietnam as a travel destination to relieve stress after a tense year of competition. Accordingly, a lucky male fan had the incredible fortune of spotting Scout at Nguyen Hue Walking Street (Ho Chi Minh City). According to the fan, Scout was alone and even used the street portrait drawing service. This lucky fan also mentioned that Scout was extremely friendly and proactively suggested taking photos.

Images of Scout in Vietnam quickly spread across various forums within the League of Legends community in Vietnam. Notably, fans in Ho Chi Minh City expressed great regret at not being able to meet the 2021 Worlds champion in time. According to the lucky fan who took a photo with Scout, he will leave Vietnam on the morning of November 26.

Before Scout, the Gen.G team had also visited Vietnam for a workshop program back in 2019 during MSI. At that time, the team was preparing content for the MSI event in Vietnam. As we know, Gen.G could not secure a spot for MSI that year, but they still organized for players to tour Vietnam while combining it with the planned workshop. Earlier this year, “Sir” Morgan also visited Vietnam for an event and held a fan meeting there.

The VCS is increasingly earning respect from the global League of Legends community. With being one of the regions with the highest viewership for Worlds 2023, Vietnamese League of Legends fans have every right to expect that more teams and players will visit Vietnam in the future.
