As we know, the global League of Legends community was extremely disappointed when Faker “switched gears” and did not choose T1 Ahri for the Worlds 2023 skin, even though he was ready to bring this champion to play a match against Weibo Gaming right in the finals. However, Faker’s actions are completely understandable as many viewers revisited old materials and discovered that Faker’s grandmother – who raised him from childhood until he became a professional player – only knew Orianna best among the hundreds of champions in League of Legends. And it was his grandmother who spent hours late into the night watching her grandson practice.

Given the truly touching and meaningful reason, everyone must accept that Faker’s choice of Orianna is reasonable and he has considered it very carefully. Although there is some regret for Ahri, many viewers are already looking forward to the new season, when T1 could once again become champions of Worlds 2024 and complete their own “Golden Road”. However, recently, according to Faker’s own revelation, things might come sooner than expected.

Accordingly, in a recent statement, Faker said: “I chose Orianna for my Worlds skin. But for those who hope I choose Ahri, there will be good news next year. I am not allowed to tell you this in advance, but… So please keep it a secret for me.”

It should be noted that not long ago, Faker also hinted that Riot might create a surprise for the “team with 4 Worlds championships”. Furthermore, next year (2024) will also be the time when the Worlds 2023 skins officially launch for the League of Legends community. Faker’s statement seems to ignite another ray of hope for the audience. However, some opinions suggest that it could be a tribute skin for Faker after he achieves the “Golden Road” and announces his retirement. Because by 2024, Faker will be 28 years old – an age quite large to continue competing at a high level. Not to mention, Faker’s injuries remain very unpredictable.

But anyway, with Faker’s affirmation, one can believe that many exciting things are waiting for League of Legends players expecting the Ahri skin ahead. Ahri has always been one of the “national champions” of League of Legends, and Riot surely knows what to do to please its players.
