As we know, one of the strong contenders that will face T1 in the LCK Spring 2024 is KT Rolster. In fact, 2023 can be seen as a very progressive year for KT, as they nearly achieved a full victory against T1 whenever they faced off. The only issue is that no one knows why this team, which was very enthusiastic during the Summer Split’s group stage, could suddenly decline after facing T1 in the playoffs. Notably, T1 was the opponent that KT chose. After a year full of ups and downs, KT has almost completely rebuilt their roster.

Notably, KT’s current roster is almost a “carbon copy” of DRX 2022. In the new season, KT will include the bot lane duo Deft – BeryL and jungler Pyosik. There is also a young player with not much fame similar to Zeka from years past (this time it’s PerfecT) and a player who has proven his talent but has been quite inconsistent and lacks any international titles, Bdd (similar to Kingen in 2022). According to many evaluations, KT is ambitious to walk the path that DRX took in the past.

However, the season has not yet started, and recently, Deft made a controversial statement. Specifically, Deft commented on the importance of the mid lane position: “Personally, I think that the Mid Lane is the most important in League of Legends. And I want to join a team with a strong Mid Laner”. It is noteworthy that Deft made this statement right after leaving Dplus KIA. And the DK team currently has one of the strongest Mid Laners in the LCK, ShowMaker. Therefore, Deft’s words have upset many fans who feel he is underestimating his younger teammate and former colleague.

In reality, Deft did not perform at his peak level like he did in the 2022 World Championship. In the past season, it was ShowMaker who was truly the key factor that helped DK secure a spot at the 2023 World Championship. However, it is clear that “one swallow does not make a summer”. While his teammates only performed at a mediocre level or did not meet expectations, ShowMaker’s efforts were not enough.

In the upcoming season, Deft will team up with Bdd. Thus, among the best mid laners in the LCK today, only Faker has never been a teammate of Deft. With these recent statements, fans are eagerly anticipating the day Deft reunites with ShowMaker soon.
