Currently, players from all teams have begun training on the new version that Riot is implementing on the special practice servers for players. However, while the entire League of Legends community is looking forward to the new season, T1 has left fans even more worried about their health situation.
As mentioned not long ago, Faker shared that he suffered from food poisoning. In fact, this time it was severe enough that he experienced a high fever and felt worse than when he had the flu. The cause is believed to be that Faker ate oysters and got food poisoning from this dish. However, a detail Faker forgot to mention is that he shared this meal with other T1 members, and of course, there have been similar cases among his teammates. Recently, Gumayusi also spoke out about his own situation.
In a recent post, Gumayusi also mentioned that he experienced food poisoning due to the same oysters as his close teammate. According to some T1 fans’ investigations, besides Gumayusi and Faker, even Oner was also affected with symptoms identical to those of his two teammates. Thus, in the early days of the new year, more than half of T1’s main roster has gone through a life-threatening situation.
Following Gumayusi’s announcement, T1 fans expressed significant concern as the serious condition affects the T1 players. Notably, the timing of the players’ outbreaks is not the same, and only two names remain ‘safe’: Keria and Zeus. However, having more than half of the roster suffering from food poisoning is alarming. Especially with the LCK Spring 2024 approaching, this will undoubtedly impact the players’ training. Moreover, according to the disclosed schedule, T1’s opening match is against a very strong opponent, Gen.G – the reigning LCK champions.
Of course, with Faker back to streaming normally, T1 players may still be in the best condition to prepare for the upcoming matches. However, it is clear that the mass food poisoning is a significant concern, and many may feel fortunate that T1 faced this issue before the season began. Otherwise, things could have been much worse.
