Recently, a showmatch took place between teams composed entirely of players competing in the same position at LCK. This event served as a Kick-Off for the highest level League of Legends tournament in Korea ahead of the new 2024 season. After just one day of competition, the final victory belonged to Oner’s Jungle team. Although it was merely a series of showmatches, this Kick-Off still attracted significant attention from the global LoL community, especially from those interested in the LCK tournament.

With five players of the same position on one team, naturally, only one player could play their main role for each team in this Kick-Off. In the Jungle team, even though Peanut was also present, Oner was chosen as the captain, and his team impressively clinched the overall victory after defeating the Mid Lane team in the final match featuring Chovy and Faker.

Notably, during these showmatches, fans spotted a special detail. On the official jersey of the T1 players for the 2024 season, there will be four stars representing the four World Championship titles in the history of this team. As usual, the jackets worn by the players will not feature the stars, only the competition jerseys will have them. However, this alone has made T1 fans incredibly proud, as this is certainly an achievement that almost no other team can match.

Moreover, during the past season, there were moments when T1 hit rock bottom, and belief only remained among the most dedicated fans, especially after Faker had to take a break due to injury. Therefore, the fourth star for T1 may hold even more significance than previous championships, and their journey is as miraculous as DRX’s in 2022.

At this point, with the showmatches concluded and the players finishing their event schedules, fans will now turn their attention to the Spring 2024 LCK that will officially kick off in just a few days. In the new season, T1 will compete with the mentality of being the reigning champions of the League of Legends scene. Opponent teams will surely study T1 more closely, and Faker along with his teammates will need to focus intensely if they want to complete the “Golden Road” awaiting them ahead.
