In the new season, alongside significant updates and changes for both LoL, especially in the professional arena, Riot will also introduce new skin designs for champions, as well as reworking some old champions. One of the champions chosen for the upcoming rework, who is also considered a “national champion” in the Jungle role, is Lee Sin. The “Blind Monk” is also one of the first champions in LoL and has become synonymous with what it means to be a true Jungle player, featuring legendary combos such as the iconic InSec combo.

Lee Sin is one of the champions that will be reworked in 2024
Recently, a skin for Lee Sin in the Heavenscale skin line is causing a fierce debate. According to reports, one of the Mythic Variants of this Lee Sin skin is being criticized for not living up to the expectations set for its classification. Although categorized as a Mythic skin, the design of Lee Sin Heavenscale is seen as far inferior to another beloved skin of Lee Sin, the Lee Sin Spirit Guard.

Notably, the Lee Sin Heavenscale skin variant will also come with a significant price tag of approximately 2 million VND, similar to the case of the Dark Star Jhin skin that was released in August 2023. At that time, Dark Star Jhin received a flurry of mixed reactions from the audience. The main focus of the feedback was a general consensus: these skins do not offer anything outstanding compared to the existing skins of the champion, yet they demand a very high price to obtain.

Of course, in theory, this skin is just a variant of the original Lee Sin Heavenscale, so players can choose whether to own it or not without affecting the base skin. However, in reality, Riot often shows a lack of investment in LoL skins – which is one of the huge revenue sources for the game. The cases of Lee Sin Heavenscale or previously the Dark Star variant of Jhin or the Ultimate skin of Samira have also sparked much controversy.

It remains unclear what the new effects of this skin line will be like. However, for now, they have left the community less than satisfied, feeling that the price is too high while the quality does not match.
