Recently, T1 made a spectacular comeback against KT Rolster – a formidable opponent that can be considered quite a “boogeyman” for Faker and his teammates. Historically, there has never been a “Telecom War” match that wasn’t tense, and the first round match of these two teams in LCK Spring 2024 was no different. Not to mention, in this iteration of KT, alongside Bdd and PerfecT, Pyosik – Deft – BeryL form the trio from the DRX 2022 lineup that defeated T1. BeryL, in particular, has been one of the toughest rivals for Keria to overcome until now.

In T1’s victory over KT, BeryL played exceptionally well in game 1, contributing significantly to KT’s early lead. However, T1 today is not the same T1 that lost to BeryL’s DRX back in 2022, and around him, his old teammates have fluctuated in form to some extent. Only Bdd and PerfecT are new names, but PerfecT is still too young while Bdd has not truly dominated Faker like Zeka did in the past.

Moreover, in this match, Keria achieved his first victory over BeryL after nearly a year, specifically 323 days since Keria and T1 defeated DRX in the second round of LCK Spring 2023. At that time, DRX was at the bottom of their form after winning the 2022 Worlds, while Keria’s T1 was performing exceptionally well and forming a “two-horse race” with Gen.G. In the same year’s LCK Summer, DRX decisively defeated T1 in both matches due to Faker’s absence.

This victory of Keria is considered by League of Legends fans to be just as significant as winning Worlds. Because, BeryL is always seen as Keria’s nemesis. The KT player also has a wide champion pool, a very unpredictable strategic mind, and importantly, he has a wealth of experience and a strong competitive spirit.

Winning against BeryL after nearly a year, Keria’s mindset has likely been relieved, and in the upcoming matches, he promises to perform even better once he and his T1 teammates truly hit their stride.
