Twisted Fate – Disco
This is perhaps the most heavily nerfed composition in patch 14.2, as the damage, durability, and versatility of its champions saw significant reductions. Particularly, Twisted Fate’s damage output could no longer carry the team as it did before. As a result, the Disco composition experienced a sharp decline in essential metrics such as top 4 placement rate and win rate.
Perhaps realizing they nerfed it too much, in patch 14.3, Riot buffed Twisted Fate again. Specifically, the energy stat was reverted to 105 from 120. This change allowed the Disco composition to immediately return to the top tier, boasting a 51% top 4 placement rate. Furthermore, this composition has shown the most significant improvement in average rank stats.
Caitlyn – Sniper
Although not nerfed in the previous patch, Caitlyn quickly fell into the category of weak 4-cost champions recently. The reason is that her ability requires a long casting time and can easily be countered if the enemy arranges their composition well. Moreover, the dominance of many strong reroll compositions in patch 14.2 left little room for a Caitlyn-centric playstyle.
Nevertheless, positive signs have returned for this composition as Caitlyn received a reduction of up to 15 maximum points in patch 14.3. This enhancement significantly improved her damage output. Although her pick rate remains relatively low, Caitlyn – Sniper achieves a win rate (top 1) of up to 14.7%. This composition promises to be very strong in the race for the top position in the current patch.
Senna – True Damage
Among the main champions of the True Damage tribe, Senna seems quite disadvantaged compared to others. Being tied to a specific item to obtain the Spear of Shojin in a context where this tribe was fiercely contested in the previous patch has left Senna as a less powerful carry. Additionally, her skill damage stats have also been relatively low.
In patch 14.3, Riot addressed Senna’s damage issue by increasing her AP scaling in her skill. Therefore, she will now be very strong when equipped with a Rabadon’s Deathcap and can deal a large amount of area damage. As a result, the Senna – True Damage composition has surged with a 51% top 4 placement rate.
