After the World Championship 2023 concluded, the streamer community in China, particularly the League of Legends community in the LPL, was abuzz when the leading livestreaming platform here – Douyu, came under investigation by authorities. Notably, the owner of Douyu was arrested on suspicion of involvement in negative activities, including gambling. Additionally, a number of renowned streamers, who are former League of Legends players, were also suspected, with the most notable being Uzi and Doinb. However, Uzi remains safe while Doinb has gone missing, the last sighting of the 2019 World Champion was during his commentary at the World Championship 2023.

According to various reports prior, Doinb may have returned to South Korea – his home country, and even purchased an apartment in the luxurious Hannam The Hill area, one of the finest in Asia. This argument gained more credibility when Doinb’s wife, Umi, revealed their location was in Korea in a post. However, as of now, Doinb remains “completely off the radar” and has not been seen streaming again. Throughout his career, Doinb has rarely missed a livestream unless due to unavoidable circumstances.

However, recently, according to some insider information from the LPL community, Doinb’s assets in China have been seized by authorities. A post appeared on Weibo stating: “The Korean guy has escaped back to his country, but all his real estate in China has been confiscated.” Many are likely aware, in addition to rumors about owning an apartment in Hannam The Hill, Doinb has previously revealed his property in Suzhou. It was reported that one of the reasons he chose to join LNG Esports was to be closer to his wife compared to joining FPX (based in Beijing).

If this is true, it means Doinb is still under investigation and may indeed be connected to the drama surrounding the Douyu owner. Therefore, it is likely that Doinb will remain “missing” for the foreseeable future. In the worst-case scenario, this guy could potentially be arrested or may never stream again.
