A Decrease in Gumayusi’s Stat Reflects T1’s Progress

T1 is showing that they have truly adapted completely to their current roster, with players performing at their peak.

A Decrease in Gumayusi’s Stat is the Lowest Among Top ADs but Reflects T1’s Gradual Improvement

Since the start of Rounds 3-5, T1 has consistently secured victories, with two of those against direct competitors for the title and Worlds slots, Gen.G and HLE. Notably, in the match against HLE, Gumayusi also earned a POM and was the standout player who led T1 to victory. However, according to a recent statistic, Gumayusi’s metrics remain perfect, except for one stat that is quite low.

Gumayusi is currently one of the top 2 ADs in League of Legends.
Gumayusi is currently one of the top 2 ADs in League of Legends.

Specifically, Gumayusi’s lowest statistic is the percentage of damage dealt within the team. To put it simply, this is the damage a player can deal by the end of a match. For the AD position, this is typically a stat that should be the highest. However, this indicates a truth: T1 is becoming more complete, and the distribution of damage to Gumayusi is being executed very well.

However, Gumayusi's overall team damage percentage is low.
However, Gumayusi’s overall team damage percentage is low.

This is because they do not rely too heavily on Gumayusi’s damage but are still consistently winning. Previously, a statistic regarding Doran’s solo kills was also published, indicating that players like Doran, Oner, and Faker are ready to share the damage to support Gumayusi in matches, and they are performing well.

Similarly, in the case of Gen.G, where several stats for Ruler are quite low, it cannot be said that this player is underperforming. Clearly, in teams like Gen.G or T1, anyone can become a strong damage source. The diversity of playstyles makes it harder for those teams to be defeated. Meanwhile, teams with ADs that have high team damage percentages (DK, KT, HLE, or OKBRO) are currently positioned lower in the rankings or exhibiting inconsistent performances.

The reason is thought to be that T1 is more complete and does not purely rely on Gumayusi's damage.

T1 is Strong and Ready for Any Challenge

It can be said that T1’s gameplay is becoming increasingly refined, somewhat restoring the image of the team that “won everywhere” in 2022. Doran has likely fully integrated with his new teammates and is performing better with each match, while the other positions are also in peak form.

T1 is currently very strong and shows some resemblance to the dominating 2022 season.

This week, T1 will face Gen.G again – the team that has already secured a Worlds slot and is safely at the top of the standings. Both teams are in a good mindset, but it may be difficult for T1 to secure a victory as Gen.G is very determined to “avenge” the loss at T1’s HomeGround when Rounds 3-5 began.
