Yunara could be a balanced champion and a good fit for Gumayusi as Riot claims
Since the design of this champion, Riot has confidently asserted that Yunara was created based on many ideas from Gumayusi’s playstyle. It’s a strong laning style, dealing as much damage as possible in team fights, and somewhat aggressive. However, in recent days, players have brought this champion into both professional arenas and ranked games. Even Gumayusi has had some complaints about Yunara, such as the playstyle not being particularly outstanding in any aspect and not easy to operate effectively.

However, in recent days, Yunara has been brought into professional play across various regions, and the current win rate hovers around 50%. Specifically, in the top 5 major regions, this champion has appeared in 14 matches, with 8 losses and 6 wins. Nevertheless, according to many evaluations, Yunara could actually be the perfect champion for Gumayusi.
This is because, in the early game phases, most players evaluate Yunara’s laning to be quite stable. While not a “sure win” champion like Lucian in lane, being merely stable is sufficient since Gumayusi is known for his superior laning skills, potentially the best in League of Legends today. If he engages in team fights with enough resources and space, the job of this AD champion becomes quite simple.

Not to mention, the absence of any particularly outstanding skills compared to others also helps Yunara become more balanced. This champion can scale in power over the course of the game and the player’s skills to achieve maximum effectiveness, similar to how GALA or Peyz have utilized her in recent matches.

Gumayusi could use Yunara in the upcoming match against Gen.G
Currently, LCK has removed Yunara from the default ban list, opening up the opportunity for this champion to appear in Gumayusi’s hands. If he is truly confident enough, Yunara might show up as a “secret weapon” in today’s “Super Classic” match against Gen.G, helping T1 achieve a favorable result against their great rival.
