Zeus Hopes to Meet T1 at Worlds 2025
In T1’s consecutive Worlds championships in 2023 and 2024, Zeus played a crucial role. However, he left to join HLE after one of the most dramatic transfer deals in League of Legends history. Currently, Zeus and HLE are performing quite well. In the context of HLE having a strong chance of making it to the Knockout stage of Worlds 2025, the opponent Zeus wishes to face again is his old team.

Specifically, in a recent interview, Zeus stated: “If I had to choose a team, it would be T1. I really want to see how they will perform and what style of play they will bring. It would also be a new experience for me to face T1 at Worlds. It seems that the fourth-seeded teams have always brought many surprises in recent years. So I’m very eager to see what will happen.”
In the 2025 season, HLE and T1 have faced off many times, and the win-loss record between the two teams is almost equal. However, in most of these matches, Zeus’s performance has only been decent but hasn’t reached the level he showcased during his participation in Worlds with T1. Notably, in HLE’s losses, Zeus has been nearly… “invisible.”

A Matchup Between HLE and T1 Would Be Thrilling
The clash between T1 and HLE, which was once purely a technical battle, now carries more significance after Zeus’s dramatic transfer. Meanwhile, T1 is in the 1-2 bracket. If HLE must face this team, it would only be if they lose to CFO and drop to the 2-2 bracket or in the Knockout round. At that point, the match between the two teams would be a decisive one for the entire season.
In that context, Zeus will continue to be the name expected to shine against his former team. However, facing T1 at Worlds always brings a different kind of pressure that Zeus probably understands better than anyone.
