As of now, after a series of events in the VCS Spring 2024, the representatives of Vietnam’s largest League of Legends tournament finally have the opportunity to compete at MSI 2024. Previously, when match-fixing allegations erupted, many expressed concern about the chances of Vietnamese League of Legends representatives reaching Chengdu. This is understandable as match-fixing and negativity are among the strictest taboos in professional sports. Moreover, the VCS case involves a large scale (as all 8 teams are somewhat related). However, when GAM Esports faced off against Fnatic, these worries faded away.

For the MSI event, typically, regions do not have many accompanying activities. However, at MSI 2024, the VCS organizers have introduced a new female host who just joined the professional LoL scene in Vietnam. Her name is Tạ Vy, and she is a completely new face in the VCS. According to some publicly available information on her personal page, Tạ Vy seems to be working as a cosplayer. Her concepts are not only limited to gaming characters but also based on characters from manga/anime. Notably, she frequently cosplays League of Legends champions like Jinx, Ahri, and Vayne.

She is currently a well-known cosplayer
However, beneath the post from the VCS organizers, many fans are still unsure of the identity of this hot girl. Nevertheless, many opinions are mentioning a “former” figure from the VCS, namely former host Remind and Teacher Ba. Compared to the female MC Remind, who has been a familiar face as a player and streamer with a certain fanbase, Tạ Vy is still quite a new name. Although she has had the opportunity to showcase her skills in several matches with positive feedback, many fans are worried about whether the female host can maintain her position in the VCS, where not only looks but many other factors are necessary to become a female host of this tournament.
As for Teacher Ba, it’s simply a playful wordplay by netizens. The reason stems from the fact that the new female host is named Tạ Vy, while Teacher Ba’s real name is Phan Tấn Trung.

Nevertheless, Tạ Vy will still be an interesting unknown in the VCS. She may not start her work immediately at this MSI, but it is enough to promise a more innovative VCS Summer for the Vietnamese League of Legends community.
