The attention of the League of Legends community worldwide, as well as the Esports scene in general, is focused on the Hall of Legends event, where Faker will be the first player to kick off this system from Riot. The purpose of the Hall of Legends, like many other Halls of Fame in various fields, is to honor the legends who have contributed to the development of professional League of Legends. As the “G.O.A.T of League of Legends,” it is entirely fitting that Faker is the first player featured, with the possibility of having 2 Hall of Legends skins (Ahri – LeBlanc).

For the League of Legends community, or even T1 fans and Faker fans, they might be surprised that Riot is willing to “favor” Faker to the extent that he becomes the player with the most personal honor skins in League of Legends (if including the Hall of Legends skins for Ahri and LeBlanc along with the 2023 Worlds skin, Faker will have 6 skins dedicated to himself), while also being the player with the most skins in a calendar year. However, in reality, according to a hardcore fan who just discovered this, Faker had revealed the plans for 2 Hall of Legends skins from Riot long ago, during a stream right after Christmas 2023.

Accordingly, during a stream, Faker shared about the audience’s questions regarding why he didn’t choose Ahri for the Worlds skin. Faker said: “Can Riot block it again… huh? Well, we might have a skin to commemorate the 4th championship. The same will be done with LeBlanc and Ahri. So everyone, don’t think negatively, be positive and happy.”
Notably, many fans thought that Faker was joking or at most giving a “light hint” to Riot about which champions could be used to honor him. However, when the teaser was released, many fans realized that everything had been revealed by Faker long ago.

It can be said that Riot’s honor once again affirms Faker’s class and status in the League of Legends world: it is a unique position that currently and perhaps in the future no one can replace, both in terms of fame, achievements, and influence.
