In early June 2024, a serious case occurred at a hotel on Liễu Giai Street, Ba Đình District, Hanoi, resulting in the death of a Korean woman. According to authorities, on May 30, Ms. Park H. (33 years old) and her boyfriend, Lee C. (24 years old), rented a room at the hotel on Liễu Giai Street in Cống Vị Ward, Ba Đình District. However, due to some conflicts, the boyfriend took the life of the girl. Lee C. was apprehended by the Hanoi Police and Ba Đình District Police shortly thereafter for investigation.
Notably, according to reports from Korean media shortly thereafter, the perpetrator is not a stranger but rather player Y., a former star from one of the strongest League of Legends teams in the LJL region. He originally came from the LCK but was unsuccessful in his home country. In contrast, upon moving to the LJL, Y. became an indispensable cornerstone of the team he was with. However, after some time competing in the LJL, Y. left the team in November 2022 and has remained unemployed ever since.

Across various forums, both in Vietnam and internationally, the information that Y. is indeed the perpetrator of the incident has left many people stunned and bewildered. This is because, during his time competing for the team from the LJL, Y. always performed very well whenever given the chance to compete internationally. Not to mention, after leaving the team from the Land of the Rising Sun, Y. virtually disappeared from the scene until now, resurfacing in a manner no one would have wished for.

However, the initial confirmation of information has only come from the Korean media and from media in the LJL area. The Vietnamese authorities have not released any images of the suspect. Therefore, the League of Legends community needs to remain calm and avoid misinformation or unverified reports that could impact the individuals or groups involved.
