Why T1 Revealed the Reason for Leaving HLE Too Many Strong Bans
As we know, during the match against HLE, in game 2, T1 made some bans that surprised many viewers and even professionals. If T1 lost game 2, it would almost certainly be due to being “outplayed” right from the ban phase by allowing HLE to secure the strongest combo in professional League of Legends right now: Rumble – Yone – Maokai. In fact, this trio has caused T1 to lose at least 2 skirmishes, and if it weren’t for the hasty situation near the Dragon pit, T1 might have actually been defeated.

However, in a recent statement, Gumayusi shared the reason T1 allowed their opponents to have such overwhelming strong bans, while other teams, including Gen.G when facing HLE, banned at least 1 of these 3 champions: “Sometimes people call us a ‘circus’ because we are too risky and unstable. But for viewers, isn’t it very interesting? T1 is a team that dares to take risks to achieve the highest results. From our perspective, T1 is doing well.”

The Confidence Shows T1 is in Extremely High Form
It can be said that T1 is currently a very strong team, if not one of the two strongest teams in professional League of Legends today. The stable form and good mindset of all 5 members allow their strategies to be more diverse. Even when they let HLE use their signature wombo combo, T1 still managed to defeat this “star-studded” team.

Being able to counter even the seemingly “overpowered” matchups in the current League of Legends scene shows that T1 is also ready for more challenging trials. Of course, in the end, the title is still the most important, and on that journey, T1 must be ready to defeat every opponent, even if it’s the mighty Gen.G.
