Since the pandemic broke out and the departure from GG Stadium, the VCS community has almost bid farewell to the vibrant atmosphere whenever Vietnam’s League of Legends matches kick off. A dedicated arena is what many fans VCS currently long for. After all, no matter how extravagant the Viewing Parties are, they can’t compare to the feeling of being in an arena and witnessing beloved players compete in person. Moreover, an arena at this moment would be fitting to “soothe” VCS fans after the match-fixing scandal that severely shook the community’s trust.

Recently, in a post, the “big boss” of VCS – Mr. Ban “ChisinX” Chee (Product Manager of VCS), used a stadium emoji along with three eye symbols indicating anticipation, accompanied by the phrase “VCS Summer”. This sparked a lot of excitement among fans, leading to many predictions that a new arena for the VCS region might be preparing to be announced to the community. However, the post was later deleted.

In reality, it seems that the big boss realized that now might not be the right time to announce information related to the VCS arena, leading to the decision to delete the post. Moreover, announcing too early compared to the timeline Riot could control to bring an arena to VCS fans might even backfire if fans have to continue living in hope only to find there are no further updates for a long time. In fact, since 2022-2023, images of a new arena have been teased. But until now, the information has only remained at those hints.

In 2025, it is expected that VCS will merge into APAC according to the plans of Riot. And if there isn’t a good enough arena, fans may become even more disappointed and perhaps feel a bit “left out” when looking at other “brother” regions, especially since even the young and achievement-less League of Legends scene like CBLOL has its own extravagant arenas.
