According to the project director of TFT – Riot Mortdog, Season 12 of “auto chess” will appear on the PBE server starting July 17. The official launch date for TFT Season 12 across all servers will be July 31. This season, themed Chaos and Enchantment, promises to bring players a host of “magical” traits and systems that will refresh TFT.

With the launch date fast approaching, Riot Games has invited numerous players and content creators to test TFT Season 12. However, according to feedback from experts on the LPL server, this season of “auto chess” appears to be quite poor. Recently, streamer Lindo (Lâm Tiểu Bắc) posted a video highlighting a series of shortcomings in TFT Season 12.

“Regarding the creativity of Season 12, I would only give it a score of 2 because there’s not much innovation here. The mechanics of Season 12 are merely a compilation of things that have appeared in previous seasons. The entertainment value of Season 12 is also only at a level of 3, as the traits and systems lack sufficient intrigue. Traits that are somewhat ‘wild’ like HeartSteel or God of Wealth will not appear in Season 12.

This also relates to my rating of the 5-cost champions of Season 12, which I only score at 4 points. Their abilities lack explosiveness, and many characters only deal single-target damage. On the plus side, the balance of Season 12 is very good, ensuring strategic diversity. If anyone wants to “try hard” for the World Championship or showcase high skills, Season 12 is extremely suitable,” streamer Lindo provided a series of negative reviews after testing TFT Season 12.

This is not the first time TFT has received negative reviews during the trial phase. Remember before TFT Season 10 launched, it also faced a lot of criticism from LPL experts. Even when officially launched, the first two versions of TFT Season 10 had very low balance. However, Riot Games later made reasonable adjustments during Season 10’s operation and helped it gain the affection of players.

Therefore, the community can fully expect a similar situation will occur with TFT Season 12. It should be noted that before the official launch, TFT Season 12 will have about 2 weeks of testing on the PBE server. Thus, the aforementioned criticisms are actually very necessary for Riot Games to make improvements in the near future.
