For the world’s top players, maintaining continuous practice and competition is a must to keep their form and skills at their best, as well as to stay updated with the ongoing changes from the developers. Moreover, for teams, this also means maintaining their visibility and ensuring that players will always receive the attention of fans. Therefore, whenever veterans take a break for a while, they often consider retiring or continuing as streamers while waiting for an opportunity. However, in Doinb’s case, he has not retired and still wants to compete, but the time he has been “missing” since his victory in the 2019 World Championship has been too long.

Accordingly, after a period of “disappearance,” Doinb has now returned and expressed his intention to find a new team to compete again in 2025. However, as of now, the former Mid Laner of FunPlus Phoenix is facing difficulties as no team seems particularly interested in him. According to some information from LPL media, Doinb is even considering buying an LPL team to realize his desire to return to professionalism. Two teams that Doinb has approached, according to LPL media, are Ultra Prime and Oh My God.

In reality, for Doinb, finding a team to join may be harder than owning a team. Doinb is older (born in 1996) and has been away from professional play long enough to find it hard to compete in an environment like the LPL. Furthermore, Doinb is a well-known player, so his salary will certainly not be small. And few teams would accept such a high salary for a player, unless that player is Faker.

However, the plan to return to competition is still just an intention of Doinb, and no one can be certain that this player will stick to the plan until next year. Therefore, it may only be when Doinb actually competes again or announces the purchase of a team that fans will have concrete news.
