Faker is a legend of League of Legends
There might rarely be a period like mid-2024 when Riot officially launched two skin lines dedicated to a team and an individual player. Accordingly, these skins are the Hall of Legends Faker to honor the legacy and contributions of this player to League of Legends up to now. And the other is the 2023 Worlds skin.
Notably, despite having to launch two specially designed skin lines in the same year, both collections have received overwhelmingly positive reviews so far. Even the HoL skin, which was initially criticized for being too expensive, has led the League of Legends community to eagerly “donate blood” after its official release. Even players are excited to “break the bank” for this rare collection.

Few can surpass Faker’s records
Additionally, the upcoming 2023 Worlds skin for T1 will add another skin to Faker’s personal collection, bringing the total number of skins that the T1 Mid Laner currently owns and will own to 7. For those who may not know, according to the latest statistics including champions released in 2023 – 2024, this player has more skins than 40 champions in League of Legends, which currently has 168 champions. Thus, the total number of skins owned by Faker exceeds nearly 1/4 of the total champions in League of Legends.

This is an impressive number, and almost all of these champions have been and still are popular in the meta since League of Legends began. Such a large number of skins also means: Faker has a significant source of income from selling these skins. Moreover, this is a milestone that very few players can surpass in League of Legends history.

After all, just one skin honoring a player means one championship win at Worlds, which is already very difficult. While this player has done this four times. And for a player to be worthy enough for Riot to include them in the Hall of Legends, they must demonstrate their influence and professionalism both in and out of the arena.

For Faker himself, his greatness is unquestionable. Faker is still actively competing, and he still has the opportunity to increase the number of skins he owns, if T1 can replicate the miracle like they did in the previous 2023 Worlds.
