TFT Project Lead Has Bold Idea About T1
As we know, TFT is built on champions from League of Legends, and later incorporated elements from League of Legends: Wild Rift, Legends of Runeterra, and even Riot’s Arcane series. The reason is that if it solely relied on League of Legends, the number of skins would never be sufficient for all champions. Not to mention, many champions appear every season but their skins do not match. However, recently, Riot Mortdog – the project lead of TFT, unexpectedly mentioned T1 after the reveal of this team’s Worlds skin on the PBE.

Specifically, Riot Mortdog posted a message stating: “How many more times does T1 need to win Worlds to have a complete set of skins for a TFT season?” The post immediately attracted significant attention from the League of Legends community, especially in light of T1’s skin reveal. Moreover, there have been some TFT seasons that have featured Worlds skins, but no season has had a skin concept that could “dominate.”
Many comments below the post expressed excitement. Some suggestions indicated that Riot could combine both Worlds skins and default skins. This is because some players, particularly Faker, rarely use their honorary skins.

– Why not create an entire season named after Worlds featuring all the skins of the teams that have ever won?
– Faker rarely uses skins. Perhaps he should consider incorporating both Worlds and default skins.
– They could even turn Faker into a unique mechanic for TFT! He has always been a fan of this game mode.
The community is also looking forward to a TFT season solely featuring Worlds skins in the future, with T1 taking the lead
As the team with the most Worlds championships, if there is a season centered around all the Worlds skins, T1 will undoubtedly take the lead. However, as of now, the number of Worlds skins is still insufficient for all the pieces, as there have only been 14 championship teams with over 70 skins, but some champions among those have more than one skin, such as Lee Sin or Orianna. Therefore, TFT players may need to wait a while longer before Riot truly brings these ideas to life.
