Augments in TFT Season 12
In TFT Season 12, as Riot gradually brings its game mode to a balanced mechanism as the publisher has continuously asserted over the years, each additional element (Augment, Blessing…) can change the course of the battle if players calculate, choose, and utilize them wisely. However, due to various factors, not every Augment or Blessing is powerful. If the reason stems from Riot’s adjustments, there’s nothing to say. However, if players “abandon” an Augment solely due to translation issues, it’s truly hard to accept. The case of the Celestial Dragon’s Mark augment, which provides players with 1 Dragon’s Claw, is an example.

Accordingly, the Celestial Dragon’s Mark augment provides players with 1 Dragon’s Claw and the accompanying condition: Healing 7000 health with Dragon’s Claw will grant 1 component item, up to 4 items. However, many people have thought that “healing with Dragon’s Claw” means only counting the health restored by the Dragon’s Claw. Therefore, this item is often not favored, especially when tank champions sometimes have healing skills that exceed that of Dragon’s Claw. But in reality, this is just a translation error that causes misunderstanding.

This Augment is actually quite useful but hasn’t gained much popularity among TFT Season 12 players
In reality, as long as players use the Dragon’s Claw item, the amount of health restored to obtain component items will include the champion’s skills, Dragon’s Claw, and other healing items (Bloodthirster, Infinity Edge…). Therefore, this can be seen as a fairly easy-to-use augment that is suitable for some tank champions with strong healing abilities currently, such as Swain or Nunu and Willump. Moreover, if players are willing to “accept the challenge” and try this augment, they may have already recognized the mechanism of item provision from Dragon’s Claw.

At this point, the Dragon’s Claw item is still quite useful for sturdy tanks. However, Riot seems to have explained a bit too late, as in the upcoming update, Dragon’s Claw will also be at risk of being “nerfed” due to a significant reduction in power.
