ZOFGK Lineup Ends Reunion Chances
Recently, many national teams around the world announced their rosters for the League of Legends event at Esports Nation Cup 2026 taking place later this year. Responding to the anticipation of the Korean LoL community in particular and the global fanbase in general, South Korea’s roster for ENC 2026 will retain the same six players called up for the upcoming ASIAD. This means that ZOFGK has officially lost the chance to reunite.

In fact, the LCK not calling additional players for ENC 2026 had long been rumored. At that time, many viewers, especially fans of this legendary lineup, still hoped Oner would be called up as a supplement, especially as T1 was performing exceptionally well, competing for a top 1-2 spot against Gen.G to enter the winning bracket of Road to MSI 2026 alongside HLE.
However, nothing happened. Thus, with players’ performance being unpredictable and uncertainty about whether ENC will be held annually or only every few years, ZOFGK likely will never reunite again. No one can guarantee players will maintain peak performance, especially Faker, who will be over 30 years old in 2027.

Community Reacts to ZOFGK Lineup News
Naturally, many viewers greatly admired the ZOFGK lineup after their successful title defense at Worlds. Therefore, the regret over possibly the last chance for this lineup to reunite is understandable. On forums, there have been many debates but also some agreeing that keeping the roster intact ensures the best synergy among players.
– Really unfortunate, I think calling up Oner as a substitute would have been perfect
– Could have called Oner as well
– Maybe the coach didn’t want to break the ASIAD roster structure

Given the current situation, perhaps only at a different ENC event and if all five members of the original ZOFGK lineup maintain peak form, could this reunion happen. But that’s a matter of the future, and the future is unpredictable.
